About Undoing Fate
Our story, our roots, and why we do this.
How It Started
Undoing Fate began with a shift in purpose. After coming to faith, founding member Steve felt called to step away from secular music and focus on writing songs that carried a more positive and meaningful message. That decision reshaped the direction of the band and laid the foundation for what Undoing Fate would eventually become. What followed wasn’t a fast or polished start, but an organic one. Early days were built around jam sessions, learning instruments, writing rough ideas, and figuring things out along the way. Over time, more family and close friends became involved, and the band slowly began to take form. What started casually grew into something intentional, driven by shared belief, persistence, and a love for heavy music with purpose.
Faith, Family, and Music
Faith is a core part of Undoing Fate, but it’s not treated as a marketing angle or a checklist. It’s simply part of who we are. Our music reflects belief, struggle, growth, and hope—without trying to force a message or speak down to anyone listening. The goal has always been to write music that feels honest and relatable, no matter where the listener is coming from. Family plays just as big of a role. With multiple generations and lifelong connections in the band, there’s a level of trust and chemistry that can’t be manufactured. That bond carries over onto the stage, where we support each other musically and personally. Before every show, we take a moment together in prayer—not as a performance, but as a reminder of why we’re doing this in the first place.
Where We’re Headed
With the completion and re-release of Redeemed, Undoing Fate took a major step forward in solidifying both our sound and our identity. Since then, we’ve continued performing live while focusing on writing and refining new material. Our next chapter is already in motion with work underway on our second album, Rise From the Shadows. We’re not chasing fame or fortune. Our goal is simpler and more personal—to create music that spreads hope, encourages perseverance, and reaches people who may be feeling lost. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to staying grounded in our faith, our relationships, and the music that brought us here.
